Stonecutter Sans

Overview

Custom typeface developed exclusively for the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA in 2020. Stonecutter Sans is an extension of the team wordmark, which is visually anchored on the 60º angle of the “Spursh”. Almost every chiseled corner of the typeface follows this angle. Stonecutter Sans, named after the Jacob Riis stonecutter quote, features multiple widths and weights and is implemented on the team’s social media and other fan-facing platforms.
