Famous Faces

Overview

This self-initiated warm up consists of a series of illustrations depicting famous athletes, actors, and fictional figures. Since 2015, I started illustrating “famous faces” as a way to perfect shadow and highlight-blocking methods. Molding black and white shapes to resemble a recognizable face brought forth a challenge of trying to capture the likeness with minimal tools at hand.
